Information You Submit
When you enter a name, phone number, or address in a search form, that entry goes to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Los Angeles County People Search does not retain a copy of the search on its own servers. A message sent through the Contact page contains whatever information you choose to provide, which we use only to answer you.
Data We Gather Automatically
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure records standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We review this information in aggregate to maintain the site and learn which Los Angeles County reference pages visitors find useful. Cookies or comparable technologies may support basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
The limited data described above helps us run the site, diagnose errors, measure traffic, and improve its pages. We neither sell visitor lists nor create profiles of individual users.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links may lead to Los Angeles County and California government portals, records offices, library collections, or third-party search services. Information entered on a linked service is controlled by that service's privacy policy, not this one. The same distinction applies to sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
Service providers that host and support this site process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We will disclose data if a valid legal process requires it. We do not otherwise share visitor data.
Safeguards and Retention
An encrypted connection protects traffic to the site. Server logs are kept only for as long as the purposes described above require. Because visitors do not create accounts, Los Angeles County People Search holds no visitor password or account profile that could be exposed.
Users Under 18
This site is not directed at children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Your place of residence may give you rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data held by a website. Since we retain very little, a request generally involves checking our contact mailbox and available server logs for responsive information. Submit a request through the Contact page. Public records maintained by Los Angeles County or a California agency remain under the control of that government custodian, so any request concerning those records must go to the office that holds them.
Changes to This Policy
Any revised policy will appear on this page. By continuing to use the site after an update, you accept the changed policy.
